Happy New Year to each of you. We hope everyone had a joyous holiday season.
We have managed to stay open for the first three months of the season, despite a spike in cases. We give credit to all of you for following the protocols put in place.
As of January 15, 2022, everyone entering the club will need to have a vaccine booster against COVID-19. The vast majority of you have already shown us proof. There are a very small number of people who were not originally vaccinated until this past Fall and are not quite due for their booster shot based on medical guidelines. If this is your situation, please re-email us your vaccination card. You will still need to get a booster shot once your five months (Pfizer) or six months (Moderna) have passed.
Now that case loads in both Ulster County and Dutchess County are at all time highs, it is even more important to wear a high quality mask any time you are in the clubhouse. We also encourage people on the court to keep some distance from one another. Everyone is running around, breathing hard, and generally not masked – so there is some exposure in the court building as well.
As we mentioned in our email to the membership on January 2, it is possible we will close the club for a short period of time as the Omicron variant surges through the area. Based on all of the epidemiology available, we believe this closure would be brief. We certainly hope to not close at all! If there is a closure, additional plays will be added onto the schedule at the end of April and into early May to make sure every contract group gets their full allotment of plays.
Best wishes to all!
James and Matt
