FAQ

Q: What are HVIT’s rates?
$32-$36/hour on Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm.
$42-$46/hour on Monday through Friday from 4-9pm and on weekends.

Q: Is there a membership fee? Can I be a guest?
Yes. There is a $50 annual membership fee per person. Children 18 and under who have a member parent do not have to pay for membership. Guest fees are $10 per person in addition to hourly rates.

Q: Do you offer anything beyond tennis?
Yes. Your membership entitles you to both a great tennis experience on the courts, as well as unlimited trips to the club if you just want to watch tennis on TV in our lounge or to get your aerobics in by using the elliptical machine.

Q: Will we have to rebook our time if we are scheduled on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day?
No. Groups that have seasonal time that falls on those days will simply not be charged. In other words, if we have a typical 30-week season and Christmas and New Year’s fall on your particular day of the week, you will only be charge for 28 weeks. We will be open on New Year’s Day for those who want to come out and play (at a nonpeak price of $32-$36/hour), but it will not be part of normal seasonal time.

Q: Can someone who is not a member fill in for one of our seasonal contract plays?
Of course, everyone is welcome. They would be subject to a $10 guest fee. There is no limit on how many times a nonmember can play. However, we encourage everyone to join the club.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad?
A group can cancel for any reason, whatsoever. Whether it is due to bad weather, illness, etc. You have already paid for the court and we will make every attempt to rebook your play at a time convenient to you. We have less open time going into our second season but should still have plenty of flexibility.

Q: When will you be opening?
We are opening our 2017-2018 season on Sunday, October 1, 2017.  Our last day will be Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Q: When will we be asked to commit to seasonal time?
Anyone who has not contacted us should do so immediately if they would like to renew their time slot from last year or if they would like to book a new slot for the coming season.

Q: What types of payment will HVIT be accepting?
At the present time we will accept either a check or cash.

Q: During cold winter mornings will the first group out (8am or 9am) be freezing for the first hour?
Absolutely not! Our courts will be thermostatically controlled. In addition, whoever is staffing the desk each morning (usually Matt) will arrive early to turn up the heat! We want everyone’s playing experience to be great!

Q: What if I do not want to book seasonal time, but still want to play at Hudson Valley Indoor Tennis?
We completely understand that some people cannot commit to a full season of play. There should be some open time available on most days. Obviously there are no guarantees, but we will work diligently to get everyone out on the court! You can book open court time up to one week in advance.

Q: I have a question not in the FAQ. How do I get an answer?
